Our Story

How it all started...

No way we thought we would've been pastors.  I grew up as a PK (Pastor's Kid) and knew the challenges that come along with being a member of the pastoral family.  Omaira (my wife and much better half!) also knew the challenges that come with being a member of the pastoral family due to her wonderful relationship with my parents.  As such, we were determined to function in the Kingdom of God, but certainly not as pastors.

But God had other plans and thoughts, which were certainly higher than our own.  The Lord clearly called us to pastor Iglesia Nueva Vida (New Life Church) in Bear, DE.  The Lord set things up in such a way that we transitioned in  April of 2013.  We affiliated the congregation to the Church of God movement and began to work diligently.  God's faithfulness and goodness was overwhelming.  And it was in August of 2017 where the Lord once more "disrupted" our existence.

Omaira and I, along with Nate and Keila (our wonderful children) transitioned out of New Life and began a year of refreshing.  We ministered throughout the country and learned much.  Little did we know that this was simply a set up to our next assignment.

After much prayer, hearing the voice of God through prophets and dear mentors, we planted Freedom Church in August of 2018.  Once again, God's provision has been awe-inspiring.  Lives are being saved daily as we Love God and Each Other.

Expanding the vision...

After meeting in a couple of homes for months, the Lord has opened yet another door.  We have moved into a facility in Middletown, DE affording us the opportunity to reach our community more effectively.  The Lord willing, we expect to grow and in His time, plant more churches, reaching out to those in need of a Savior and Lord.  As a multicultural, multigenerational church, we fully expect that regardless of economic status, age or ethnicity we will Pray, Worship and Work together, demonstrating and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Where we are headed...

The Lord spoke to Abram (later to be called Abraham) in Genesis 12 asking him to leave his homeland, departing from his family to a land that God would show him.  While we know we are to grow in Middletown, DE and beyond, we live day to day, walking in faith, to the land God has promised us.  We are confident in who has called us and that he will perfect the work he has begun.  Come and See what God is doing in and through Freedom Church.
